On January 3rd, we celebrate Festival of Sleep Day! We’re sleeping less due to stress and distractions but not on Festival of Sleep Day. Treat yourself to a standard 8 hours of sleep, a full day of sleep, or even just a couple of power naps. You can read more about Festival of Sleep Day here.
In honor of Festival of Sleep Day, we asked the Calendars.com team their favorite sounds to get them to bed faster. You won’t believe what constitutes as a lullaby now-a-days!
Christi G: My husband’s snoring, the dog farting, and the fan. No music.
Cory P: Hustlin by Rick Ross & All I Do is Win by DJ Khaled.
Dixie M: I listen to a sound machine with either rain or ocean waves. Sometimes white or pink noise if my neighbors are loud lol.
Emily G: I read (always happy books or else my brain won’t shut off) or I flip through the happy thoughts boards on Pinterest.
Jesse C: I read. Sorry, no music at night for this guy.
Jessica G: Trick question. I put on reruns of shows I’ve seen 80 million times.
Megan S: Where Is My Mind (The Pixies Piano Cover)- Maxence Cyrin
Misty S: I listen to a fan or white noise… If I don’t have either of those, I can’t sleep. I can’t sleep with music, the tv, or sounds other than the fan.
Raina H. I listen to Scrubs. The TV show. Seriously. I’ve seen every episode like 5-10 times, so about 5 min on any episode, and I’m out like a light.
Rodrigo G: Loud Humidifier.
Sami M: David Gray- Babylon
- Sounds of Silence- Simon and Garfunkel
- Moon River- Audrey Hepburn
- My Rifle, My Pony and Me- Dean Martin
