International Tongue Twister Day

November 7 is International Tongue Twister Day!

A tongue twister is a phrase containing a combination of alliteration and rhyme strategically designed to be stumbled over, producing humorous results when the words are mispronounced.

Celebrate International Tongue Twister Day by practicing a few tongue twisters and challenging your family and friends to a tongue twister duel!

Warm up by saying these short tongue twisters three or more times, as fast as you can:

Red leather, Yellow leather
Unique New York
Rubber Baby Buggy Bumper
Irish Wristwatch

Then try something a bit more challenging:

Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers,
A peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked;
If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers,
Where’s the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked?
