August 17 is National Thrift Shop Day!
Thrift shops are stores that sell second-hand products, such as clothes, furniture, toys and home decor, at a discounted price. Many of these goods are donated by the public.
While the thought of using second-hand goods may not sound appealing at first, thrift shopping has a lot of benefits: you’ll save money and help the environment, and you might just end up finding one-of-a-kind treasures.
Celebrate National Thrift Shop Day by donating some of your old clothes and other belongings to a local thrift shop or by spending the day thrift shopping with a friend. Never shopped at a thrift store before? Take a look at “A Basic Guide to Thrift Store Shopping” before you head out.
